Easter is the perfect time to slip some special Easter bunny
ornaments in a basket as a keepsake that will last far beyond the
chocolate bunnies and marshmallow Peeps. We have several bunny style
ornaments that would fit perfectly into most any Easter basket nestled
down in some grass. Just be sure to remove the ornament before little
hands can start digging in the basket since these are glass ornaments.
Perfect keepsakes. Some you might be able to put a date on the bottom or
back with a marker made especially for glass.
Here’s our parade of Easter bunnies from Trendy Ornaments:

104610 Nestled in Grass |
Nestled in Grass is another Inge-Glas ornament, clip on style also with a bit of mossy grass. Sweet bunny face.
Flopsy Bunny is an ornament from Merck
Family’s Old World Christmas. This ornament brings back memories of the
Little Golden Book – Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail and Peter. Here’s a
little history on the Flopsy bunnies.
Ms. Potter had a book all about the Flopsy Bunnies. According to Wikipedia: In The Flopsy Bunnies,
Benjamin Bunny and his cousins Peter and Flopsy are adult rabbits.
Benjamin and Flopsy are married, and the parents of six children called
simply The Flopsy Bunnies. Food is not always readily available to the
large family and they are forced to resort to Mr. McGregor’s rubbish
heap of rotten vegetables for sustenance.
Mr. McGregor catches the six Flopsy Bunnies
after they fall asleep in the rubbish heap and puts them in a sack,
intending to sell them for tobacco.
When McGregor is distracted for a
moment, the sextet is freed by Thomasina Tittlemouse, a woodmouse, and
the sack filled with rotten vegetables by Benjamin and Flopsy. At home,
Mr. McGregor receives a sharp scolding from his wife when she discovers
the vegetables and believes her husband is playing a trick on her.
A sweet way of putting a Flopsy ornament in
an Easter Basket is to couple it with a book by Beatrice Potter….along
with a few jelly beans and chocolate of course))

12241 Hungry Bunny |
Hungry Bunny is by Old World Christmas and he has his ears perked up
while he munches away on a carrot.
Each Old World Christmas ornament
comes with a hang tag that tells a little bit about the ornament. Hungry
Bunny’s tag reads: Rabbits are very shy and frail animals. Having no
natural means of protecting itself, the rabbit is therefore dependent on
the kindness of man and other animals for it”s survival. At Easter
time, the rabbit represents the renewal of this faith and abundant new
life during the spring season.
These are just a few choices in bunnies that are perfect as Easter basket goodies….just browse through the
Easter category to see the rest along with some other ornaments that are also suitable for Easter.
All these ornaments are mouth blown and hand painted. They make great keepsakes for special occasions.
